About Hurricane Run

HURRICANE RUN is a 53.5-metre motor yacht built by Feadship and delivered in 2009. Designed externally by De Voogt Naval Architects and styled internally by the renowned Terence Disdale, she represents one of the cleaner, more contemporary examples of Feadship’s early 2010s output, combining the quiet, solid construction that defines the yard’s reputation with an interior that has real edge.

Disdale’s interior is built on a strict monochrome palette of dark woods and lighter panels contrasted against white furnishings and doors framed in wenge with silk panels. The effect is sharp, sophisticated and contemporary without feeling cold, with rich materials and textures used throughout to prevent the scheme from becoming clinical. The main salon is built around large curved sofas facing a widescreen television and flows into a formal dining room that seats eight. A second upper salon continues the contemporary theme with comfortable seating, a bar and a flat-screen TV, while the yacht’s generous beam gives every interior space a sense of scale that belies her 53-metre overall length.

Deck life on HURRICANE RUN is one of her strongest points. The sundeck is expansive and multifunctional, with an entertainment hub, Jacuzzi and sun pads, while a full-beam upper-deck terrace with panoramic sea views gives guests a premium indoor-outdoor space for morning coffees and pre-dinner drinks alike. The aft main deck leads to a generous swimming platform where the crew can set up water toys quickly and easily.

Accommodation sleeps 12 guests across six staterooms: a full-beam master suite on the main deck with a private office and en-suite bathroom, two double cabins, two twin cabins and a convertible single cabin that can also serve as a gym. Zero-speed stabilisers ensure comfort at anchor.

Twin Caterpillar engines give HURRICANE RUN a cruising speed of 12.5 to 13 knots and a 4,500 nautical mile range. Managed through Edmiston with a crew of 12, she splits her calendar between the West Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter.

Designed by De Voogt and styled by Terence Disdale, HURRICANE RUN combines Feadship’s reputation for quiet, solid construction with a genuinely sharp interior.

Terence Disdale’s monochrome scheme uses rich materials, silk panels and large curved sofas to create an interior that is contemporary but never cold.

The main-deck master suite includes a private office and en-suite bathroom in Disdale’s signature dark wenge and white finish.

Rich materials, wenge-framed doors and silk panels give the monochrome interior depth and warmth, avoiding the clinical result that lesser designers risk with this palette.

A main salon with formal dining and an upper salon with bar and TV give guests distinct social spaces for different moods and group sizes.

Two double cabins give additional principal guests generous, well-finished accommodation and en-suite bathrooms.

A panoramic upper-deck terrace and generous sundeck give HURRICANE RUN exceptional outdoor living space for a 53-metre yacht.

A full-beam upper-deck terrace with sea views on all sides is one of HURRICANE RUN’s most appreciated spaces for morning coffees and evening drinks.

Two twin cabins and a convertible single/gym complete the accommodation for 12 guests, giving HURRICANE RUN useful flexibility for family groups.
