About Bon Vivant

BON VIVANT earns her name honestly. Codecasa built her in 2013 as a 49.9-metre motoryacht designed for exactly what her name promises, a good, well-lived life at sea, and a 2020 refit kept every surface current without erasing the warmth that made her a repeat-charter favourite along the Riviera. Andrea Bacigalupo’s exterior lines stay low and confident rather than sculptural, and the interior by Della Role Design leans into soft neutrals, brushed timber and enough texture to feel lived-in rather than staged.

The sundeck sets the tone before a guest even sits down: two full-length sofas face each other across a pair of low tables, opening straight through glass doors into the saloon so the boundary between inside and outside barely registers. Aft, a shaded dining table for twelve sits beside its own bar, informal lunches and formal dinners share the same footprint without ever feeling like a compromise. A separate formal dining room below decks, framed by a pair of dark textured art panels and orchid arrangements, gives a second, quieter register for evenings that call for one.

Forward, the jacuzzi occupies its own curved platform, wrapped by built-in sofas on both sides and open enough to the horizon that a soak here never feels enclosed. It is BON VIVANT’s clearest argument for a Riviera afternoon with nowhere else to be. The folding side balconies open the main saloon further still on calm afternoons, turning a single room into something closer to an open-air terrace without ever leaving the anchorage. Aft, the swim platform lowers to reveal two jet skis, a tender, paddleboards and a full kayak set, the toy inventory of a much larger yacht, packed into a genuinely usable space rather than left to gather dust in a garage.

Below decks, a fully equipped gym looks out over the water through full-height windows, treadmill, rower and free weights all facing the same view a guest would otherwise pay for in a spa. The wellness programme continues with Technogym equipment, a massage table and a proper set of Pilates and yoga kit, unusual depth for a yacht this size.

Six staterooms sleep twelve, and no two feel interchangeable. The full-beam owner’s suite runs quilted leather panelling the length of its headboard wall, with its own office and a private balcony that folds open to the sea. A guest stateroom picks up cooler seafoam tones against dark wood, while a twin cabin, mustard cushions against pale oak, gives families or friends travelling in pairs a room that reads as considered rather than an afterthought. Every cabin keeps its own bathroom, finished with the same quiet consistency as the public spaces.

A crew of nine runs BON VIVANT’s programme along the Western Mediterranean, from Monaco’s harbour mouth to the calmer coves further along the coast, with an advanced AV system throughout for evenings that stay on board. She charters at a rate that undercuts yachts half her age for a genuinely current, recently refitted 50-metre, proof that a good refit, done properly, can matter more than a launch date.
