The phrase brokers use for DALOLI is pocket superyacht, and for once it is the right description rather than a stretch. Custom Line built her in 2011 as a Navetta 33, a hull that squeezes three genuine decks into thirty-three metres, and the layout that results is closer to a forty-metre yacht than to her peers. She was ZIACANAIA I until she was sold and renamed, and a refit has since brought her interior and systems up to date.
The upper deck is where the argument is won. Most yachts this size treat the level above the main deck as a sundeck with a wet bar. DALOLI puts a full dining room there instead: an oval glass table under a coffered ceiling, curved glass on three sides, and doors that fold back so the room opens directly onto the aft deck. Eat there at dusk with the glass open and the space stops feeling like a boat interior at all. The main deck keeps its own dining table forward of the salon, so a charter party can eat inside or up top without either room feeling like the compromise.
The salon itself is done in pale limed oak with cream upholstery and a glass table, restrained rather than decorated, and the windows run low enough to see the water from a sofa. Zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady at anchor as well as underway, which on a semi-displacement hull cruising at twelve knots is what makes long lunches at anchor possible.
Accommodation runs to five cabins for ten guests. The master sits on the main deck with a walk-in wardrobe and windows angled forward, so it takes the light and the view that lower-deck masters never get. Below, doubles and a twin fill out the guest deck, all in the same limed oak with stone bathrooms.
Seven crew run her, and IYC make a point of saying they have worked together for years rather than being assembled for the season. On a yacht where the charter is built around the water rather than the saloon, that continuity is what the reviews turn on.
And the water programme is unusually complete. A water slide runs off the upper deck into the sea. There are three Seabob F5S, two SeaDoo Spark jet skis, two swimming platforms and a separate jet-ski dock, water skis for adults and children, a wakeboard, a canoe, paddleboards, towable donuts and a banana, and an e-foil on request. New for this season is a Grand G 680 chase boat with a 150hp Yamaha, and it is included in the charter fee with its own dedicated driver, which is not a small thing: it turns every anchorage into a base rather than a destination.
On deck there is a jacuzzi on the sundeck, a barbecue, and shaded seating on three levels. Fuel consumption is low for the volume, which keeps the cruising range honest across a Greek itinerary.
She works the eastern Mediterranean and the Adriatic through summer and stays in the region for winter. For a family that wants three decks, two dining rooms and a proper toy programme without moving up to a forty-metre budget, DALOLI is a precise piece of value.
