About Wanderlust

Few yachts of 85 metres are built to be light. WANDERLUST is. SilverYachts has spent two decades refining a single idea, a long and slender aluminium hull that slips through water rather than shouldering it aside, and WANDERLUST is the most complete expression of that idea yet. She measures 85.3 metres but just 1,561 gross tons, a fraction of the volume a conventional hull of her length would carry. The restraint is deliberate. It buys her 23 knots at the top end, a 14-knot cruise she can hold for days, and a fuel curve that turns an ocean crossing from a logistical negotiation into a simple decision.

Her builder calls her a sports activity vessel, and the label earns its place. Behind the guest accommodation sits a full-height hangar, not a token locker but a working space that swallows tenders, dive gear and the kind of hardware that usually forces a second support vessel into the itinerary. Everything a charter party might want travels with them, ready to launch the morning it is asked for. It is the difference between planning a week around what the yacht can carry and planning it around what the guests actually feel like doing.

The owner’s deck is given over to a single sweep of space that the yard calls the loft. It reads as a modern apartment set down on the water: low furniture, uninterrupted glass, and a ceiling treated as a canvas rather than a surface, its interactive artwork shifting the mood of the room from daylight to evening. A cinema configuration folds out of the same volume. Forward of it, the winter garden runs the full beam, half conservatory and half lounge, with a dining table positioned so that the view does the work no centrepiece could. The master suite occupies the forward end of the deck, quiet and separate, with a bathroom finished in dark stone and a shower room alongside it.

Eight cabins sleep twelve. The main deck VIP is close to full-beam and finished with the same pale timber and soft neutral palette that runs through the yacht, and the remaining doubles convert to twins, which matters on a boat that will as readily take three families as one. Twenty-four crew work the vessel, a ratio that tells you how the service is pitched.

Outside, the sun deck carries a jacuzzi set into the forward end and a projector rig aft for films under the stars. The bridge deck aft is the social centre in harbour, shaded and open on three sides. A wheelhouse of genuine seriousness sits above it, as it should on a yacht designed to make passages rather than hops.

What sets WANDERLUST apart is not any single feature. It is coherence. The hull, the hangar, the range and the layout all answer the same brief, which is to go further, arrive sooner and carry everything worth having along the way. A 2025 refit brought her interior and systems current. She is a genuinely unusual proposition at her size, and she moves.
