Kotor to Split Charter Itinerary

Kotor to Split Itinerary

Kotor to Split Yacht Charter
A week up the Adriatic from the sea-drowned mountains of Kotor to the Roman heart of Split, taking in the greatest sights of Montenegro and southern Croatia. This route strings together walled cities, national-park islands and sun-drenched anchorages. Expect Dubrovnik’s ramparts and Mljet’s pine-fringed lakes, Marco Polo’s Korcula and the Blue Cave of Vis, history and nature at every turn.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter cove. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Kotor

Step aboard in the Bay of Kotor, a spectacular ria of steep grey mountains often mistaken for a fjord. Cruise its glassy inner reaches past island churches, explore the medieval old town, and anchor beneath the peaks for the night.

Dubrovnik

Cross into Croatia and sail to Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, its mighty ramparts encircling a baroque jewel. Walk the full circuit of the walls, wander the marble Stradun, then anchor off the coast for a swim.

Mljet

Sail to Mljet, greenest and most unspoiled of the Croatian islands, its western third a national park of pine forest and two connected saltwater lakes. Swim in the lakes, tender to the island monastery, and savour the calm.

Day 4

Korcula

Cruise on to Korcula, a fortified medieval town of red roofs and herringbone lanes laid out to tame the wind, reputed birthplace of Marco Polo. Sample the island’s white wines, then anchor in a quiet cove for the afternoon.

Day 5

Hvar

Arrive at Hvar, sun-drenched darling of the coast, its Venetian harbour giving way to chic bars and a hilltop fortress. Swim in a Pakleni cove, wander the marble square, and enjoy the island’s lively evening.
Day 6

Vis

Steer to Vis, most distant and authentic of the islands. Tender into the famous Blue Cave on nearby Bisevo, swim in the luminous water, and dine on fresh fish in a quiet konoba ashore.
Day 7

Split

The voyage ends in Split, where life still hums inside the walls of Diocletian’s palace, seventeen centuries old. Wander the courtyards and cellars, take a last coffee on the Riva, and close a week up the Adriatic.
