Australia Charter Itinerary

Australia Itinerary

Australia Yacht Charter
A week through the Whitsundays and out to the Great Barrier Reef, the jewel of tropical Queensland, where 74 islands lie scattered in warm, sheltered water. This is Australia at its most idyllic, silica-white beaches and kaleidoscopic coral, secluded bays and world-class snorkelling. Expect the famous sands of Whitehaven and the living wonder of the outer reef, hiking trails and turquoise anchorages, a dazzling tropical voyage.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter anchorage. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Hamilton Island

Fly in to Hamilton Island, the vibrant hub of the Whitsundays, and step aboard to set sail into the sheltered island passages. Anchor off a quiet beach for a first swim as the tropical light fades.
Day 2

Neck Bay

Cruise to Neck Bay in the Lindeman Group, a captain’s favourite and likely your first taste of true seclusion. Anchor in the sheltered water, swim from the deck, and enjoy a tropical sunset over the islands.
Day 3

The Narrows & Cid Island

Wake to a tropical sunrise and cruise west toward Long Island through the scenic Narrows, anchoring off Cid Island. Explore the sheltered inlets by tender, swim in the warm water, and laze on deck.
Day 4

Whitsunday & Hook Island

Walk the trail up Whitsunday Peak for breathtaking views over Cid Harbour, then cruise to Hook Island. Snorkel the fringing reefs, explore a quiet bay, and anchor beneath the forested hills.
Day 5

Hayman Island to the Outer Reef

Leave Hook Island toward Langford Island and Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman, where at low tide a sandspit emerges. Snorkel the coral gardens, swim in the clear water, and take in the island beauty.
Day 6

Hardy & Hook Reefs

Dive into the azure blue of the outer reef to see what it has to offer, from trevally and coral trout to snapper and turtles. Snorkel or dive the vibrant coral, then anchor for the night.
Day 7

Dumbell Island & Whitehaven Beach

The last day comes too quickly. Visit Dumbell Island’s wildlife, then the world-famous Whitehaven Beach, seven kilometres of pure white silica sand. Walk the shore, swim, and toast a week in the Whitsundays.
