Jeanneau / Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 415
The Sun Odyssey 415 extends a lineage that has shaped mainstream cruising for three decades. Built on the proven hull of the Sun Odyssey 410, the 415 retains the distinctive inverted bow and continuous hull chine that give the earlier boat its reputation for tracking accuracy and spray deflection, then wraps a refined deck and interior programme around the same underwater shape.nnAt 12.35 metres with a 3.99-metre beam, the 415 offers interior volume that approaches the next size bracket. The L-shaped galley sits to port with a forward-facing chart table for two alongside, creating a natural social zone where the navigator remains part of the conversation rather than sequestered behind a screen. Two-cabin and three-cabin layouts address couples and families in equal measure, with an option for a forepeak utility cabin that stows fenders, sails and provisions out of the living spaces.nnOn deck, Jeanneau offers four sail plans and three keel options including a swing keel, a combination that makes the 415 adaptable to cruising grounds as varied as the shallow tidal flats of Brittany and the open passages of the Aegean. Standard draft is 2.25 metres on the fixed keel, deep enough for windward performance yet moderate enough for most Mediterranean marinas.nnFuel capacity of 200 litres and water tankage of 530 litres keep the 415 self-sufficient for extended weekends and island-hopping passages without frequent marina stops. CE category A certification for eight people confirms offshore-passage construction.
