Most 50-metre yachts afloat today are steel, displacement and content to cruise at 15 knots. The Baglietto FAST50 takes the opposite view. She is a 49.9-metre aluminium motor yacht engineered to run at 30 knots, and the shipyard has deliberately held her under 500 gross tons to do it. Launched in June 2026 as hull 10268 and presented at the Monaco Yacht Show, she is the first of a new high-speed generation from La Spezia.

Staying under 500 GT on purpose
The sub-500 GT figure is not a constraint here, it is the design brief. Keeping the yacht below that line places her in a lighter regulatory and crewing band, which suits a fast aluminium hull where every tonne counts. The difficulty is doing it without a cramped interior, and Baglietto’s answer was to route the ventilation ducts outside the hull. That freed up usable space, so the FAST50 carries a full 496 GT with a saloon shaped for conversation and entertaining rather than squeezed around machinery.
Performance without the draft penalty
Four MTU 16V2000 M96L engines drive the FAST50 to a reported 30-knot top speed, with a 24-knot cruise. The more telling number is her draft. At 2.07 metres, paired with a semi-tunnel hull, she can reach shallow bays and coastlines that a displacement yacht of this length has to watch from deeper water. Speed and access usually trade against each other on a 50-metre platform. Here they arrive together.
Decks built around the water
The defining feature sits at the stern, where fold-down bulwarks extend the swim platform into a two-level beach club with direct access to the sea. Forward and above, the upper deck runs from aft sunbathing and lounge seating past the integrated helm to a Jacuzzi at the bow, while a panoramic veranda opens on three sides for open-air dining. Baglietto has added a rooftop terrace with a second dining area and loungers as well, still an uncommon feature in this size class.

Interiors with a performance lineage
Inside, Francesco Paszkowski Design and Margherita Casprini worked in teak, lacquer and burnt oak, with contemporary art by Filippo Tincolini, Andrea Paolillo and Francesco Zadora threaded through the rooms. The main-deck owner’s suite keeps the exterior proportions intact and is lit by two silk-screened windows, while two VIP suites and two twin cabins sit on the lower deck, each en suite. The automotive-inspired exterior, finished in Porsche Chalk, carries cues from Baglietto fast yachts such as Monokini, winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 2016, Pachamama and Adler, updated with details from the recent T-line.
Availability
The first FAST50 is for sale ahead of her delivery, with a guide price around 39.5 million euros. For an owner who wants genuine speed and shallow-water range in a 50-metre yacht, she is a rare proposition in a field dominated by slower displacement designs.
