At 175,000 euros per week, Bora Bora and the Leeward Islands of French Polynesia become accessible aboard charter yachts of 50 to 60 metres, crewed by eight or nine and outfitted for extended Pacific cruising. The Bora Bora lagoon, enclosed by a fringing reef and studded with coral bommies, provides an environment matched to intensive underwater exploration: blacktip reef sharks in the passes, manta rays in the outer channels, coral gardens of extraordinary colour in the interior and hawksbill turtles resting on the sandy lagoon floor. Beyond the lagoon, the Leeward Islands extend the itinerary through Tahaa, Raiatea and Huahine over a two-week circuit, or compress into a focused week centred entirely on Bora Bora’s immediate surroundings. The advance provisioning allowance adds approximately 52,500 euros to the weekly base rate, covering fuel, food and marina fees. The South Pacific season runs May to November; December through April carries cyclone risk and is generally unsuitable for charter. Provisioning is based in Raiatea, the logistics hub for the Leeward Islands, with high-quality produce flown in from Tahiti. Guests of 10 to 12 travel in private cabins and find the ratio of natural beauty to on-board comfort exceptionally well balanced at this rate.
