Twenty one explorer yachts in our charter fleet carry a gym, and on an expedition vessel the facility serves a different purpose from the polished fitness studios found on conventional motor yachts. These yachts spend extended periods at sea, transiting between remote cruising grounds, and the gym gives guests a way to maintain routine when the nearest shoreline is hours or days away.
The fleet ranges from the thirty eight metre RH Three to Octopus at one hundred and twenty six metres. Between those poles, the core group sits in the fifty to seventy five metre range: Bleu de Nimes, Sea Owl and Kogo all carry fully equipped fitness spaces with cardio equipment, free weights and stretching areas. La Datcha, a seventy seven metre Damen SeaXplorer, offers a gym designed for expedition conditions, positioned alongside a beach club and dive centre.
Weekly rates begin at one hundred and forty thousand euros for Northern Sun and climb to two million two hundred thousand for Octopus. The core of the fleet charters between one hundred and fifty thousand and seven hundred and fifty thousand euros per week, with the advance provisioning allowance adding roughly thirty percent for fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
Explorer yachts follow the seasons and their own range. The Norwegian coast and Svalbard fill the northern summer, Indonesia and the South Pacific take the shoulder months, and Patagonia and the Antarctic Peninsula open from November. The Caribbean and Mediterranean remain available for those preferring established routes, with the gym earning its value on every long crossing between anchorages.
