Westport builds in composite at Westport and Port Angeles in Washington State, and it built its business on a repeated hull rather than a blank sheet. The one hundred and sixty four foot tri deck is the yard’s signature, produced to a settled design and engineering package, which is why so many of them are on the water and why they hold their reliability so well.
Our Westport charter fleet is largely that model. Chasing Daylight, Hospitality and Valinor are all fifty metres, delivered in 2008, 2011 and 2013. Valinor carries a helipad and a gym, while Hospitality is laid out with eight cabins, an unusual arrangement that suits two families travelling together. Serengeti at thirty nine metres and Alaskan Story at twenty seven are the smaller options, and both are set up for high latitude cruising.
Weekly rates run from forty six thousand euros for Alaskan Story to two hundred and thirty thousand for Valinor. The fifty metre group is agreed between one hundred and ninety five and two hundred and thirty thousand, and Serengeti sits at one hundred and fifty thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
These are quick boats, cruising at fifteen to twenty two knots, which matters on the long American coastlines they were built for. Summers run to Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, winters to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Tell us the season and the coast, and we will tell you which hull is free.
