British Virgin Islands: Tortola to Anegada Itinerary

British Virgin Islands: Tortola to Anegada Yacht Charter
A week through the British Virgin Islands, the Caribbean’s great sailing playground, where dozens of islands cluster around a sheltered channel of astonishing blue. Short hops, easy anchorages and legendary beach bars make this the most relaxed of tropical cruises. Expect pirate coves and granite grottoes, turtle-filled bays and famous painkiller cocktails, sunshine and warm water from first day to last.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter cove. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Tortola

Step aboard on Tortola, lively hub of the BVI, and sail into the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Anchor off a quiet white beach, swim in the warm water, and settle into island time as the first evening falls.
Day 2

Norman Island

Cruise to Norman Island, said to have inspired Treasure Island, where sea caves at the Bight offer superb snorkelling among shoals of fish. Explore the caves, then anchor for a sundowner at the famous floating bar.
Day 3

Jost Van Dyke

Sail to easy-going Jost Van Dyke, spiritual home of the Caribbean beach bar. Wade ashore at White Bay for a painkiller on a dazzling strip of sand, swim in the clear shallows, and soak up the laid-back mood.
Day 4

Virgin Gorda - The Baths

Cruise to Virgin Gorda and the extraordinary Baths, where colossal granite boulders form a labyrinth of sea-filled grottoes and hidden pools. Explore the maze, swim in the clear water, and marvel at a landscape like no other.
Day 5

Virgin Gorda - North Sound

Sail to the sheltered North Sound, a vast protected bay ringed by exclusive retreats and beach clubs. Try the yacht’s water toys in the calm water, swim from the deck, and enjoy an easy afternoon in a stunning setting.
Day 6

Anegada

Steer north to Anegada, the only coral island in the chain and a world apart, low, remote and ringed by miles of deserted powder-white beach. Feast on fresh lobster ashore, snorkel the reefs, and savour the quiet.
Day 7

Cooper Island

The voyage ends at laid-back Cooper Island, ringed by turtle-filled bays and healthy coral. Take a final snorkel over the reef, relax on deck with a rum, and toast a week in the British Virgin Islands.
