Central Dalmatia: Hvar & the Islands Charter Itinerary

Central Dalmatia: Hvar & the Islands Itinerary

Central Dalmatia: Hvar & the Islands Yacht Charter
A week among the sun-drenched islands off Split, from chic Hvar to remote Vis and the wine town of Korcula. Central Dalmatia is a cruising ground of Venetian harbours, turquoise coves and a thousand years of stone. Expect Roman palaces and hilltop fortresses, the finest anchorages in Croatia and long swims in glassy water, culture and nature in easy balance.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter cove. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Split

Step aboard in Split, where daily life still moves inside the walls of Diocletian’s palace, seventeen centuries old and lived-in. Take a coffee on the Riva, wander the courtyards, then sail out to anchor off a nearby island for a first swim.

Brac

A short hop brings Brac, famous for the dazzling white stone that built palaces the world over and for the shifting golden horn of Zlatni Rat. Anchor off the celebrated beach, swim in the clear water, and enjoy an easy first island day.

Day 3

Hvar

Sail to sun-drenched Hvar, darling of the Dalmatian coast, where a handsome Venetian harbour gives way to chic bars and a hilltop fortress. Wander the marble square, swim in a hidden cove, and take in the island’s stylish evenings.
Day 4

Pakleni Islands

Cruise just offshore to the Pakleni Islands, a scatter of wooded islets ringed with turquoise coves among the finest anchorages in Croatia. Drop anchor in a glassy bay, swim and snorkel, and spend the day on the water.

Day 5

Vis

Steer to Vis, most distant of the inhabited islands and, long closed as a military base, the most authentic. Tender into the famous Blue Cave on nearby Bisevo, swim in the glowing water, and dine on fresh fish ashore.
Day 6

Korcula

Sail to Korcula, a fortified medieval town of red roofs and narrow lanes and the reputed birthplace of Marco Polo. Sample the crisp white wines of the island, wander the herringbone streets, and anchor in a quiet cove nearby.

Day 7

Solta

The voyage ends on quiet Solta, closest island to Split yet blissfully uncrowded, a place of olive groves, honey and secluded bays. Anchor in a tranquil inlet for a final swim, and close a week among the Dalmatian islands.
