Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly Charter Itinerary

Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly Itinerary

Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly Yacht Charter
A week around the far south-west of England, from the great harbour of Falmouth to the sub-tropical Isles of Scilly, a coast of hidden creeks and turquoise water. This is a gentler, sun-warmed corner of Britain, artists’ towns and fairytale castles, oyster estuaries and white-sand islands. Expect Frenchman’s Creek and St Michael’s Mount, the gardens of Tresco and the light of St Ives, a surprisingly idyllic voyage.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter anchorage. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Falmouth

Step aboard at Falmouth, home to one of the largest natural harbours in the world and a proud maritime heritage. Explore the Tudor castle and waterfront, then set sail along the Cornish coast.
Day 2

The Helford River

Cruise to the beautiful Helford River, a tranquil wooded estuary of hidden creeks and oyster beds, including the legendary Frenchman’s Creek. Anchor in the calm, explore by tender, and savour the peace.
Day 3

St Michael's Mount

Sail west across Mount’s Bay to the fairytale island of St Michael’s Mount, a medieval castle crowning a rocky tidal island reached by causeway at low tide. Explore the castle and gardens, then anchor nearby.
Day 4

The Isles of Scilly

Cross to the magical Isles of Scilly, twenty-eight miles off Land’s End, an archipelago of white-sand beaches and turquoise water. Anchor off a deserted beach and swim in the surprisingly clear sea.
Day 5

Tresco

Sail to the island of Tresco, famous for its extraordinary Abbey Garden, where sub-tropical plants from around the world flourish. Explore the garden, cycle the car-free lanes, and laze on a white beach.
Day 6

Bryher & the Off-Islands

Cruise among the wild off-islands of Scilly, from rugged Bryher, facing the full Atlantic, to uninhabited islets ringed by clear water. Anchor in the shelter, explore by tender, and enjoy the solitude.
Day 7

St Ives

The voyage ends back on the Cornish coast at St Ives, a beautiful artists’ town of golden beaches, cobbled lanes and a famous quality of light. Wander the galleries, swim from the beach, and toast the week.
