Greece: The Saronic Gulf Charter Itinerary

Greece: The Saronic Gulf Itinerary

Greece: The Saronic Gulf Yacht Charter
A week within easy reach of Athens, threading the islands and Peloponnese shores of the Saronic Gulf. This is Greece at its most convenient and most charming, car-free harbours, neoclassical mansions and ancient theatres, all a short hop apart. Expect quiet anchorages and lively quaysides, classical ruins and long swims in clear water, the essence of Greek cruising without a long passage in sight.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter cove. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Athens

Begin in Athens, a city 2,500 years in the making where classical history and modern life run together. Take in the Acropolis and the lanes of Plaka, then board at the marina and sail into the gulf, dropping anchor for a first swim as the coast opens ahead.
Day 2

Hydra

Sail to captivating Hydra, where stone mansions climb the hillsides above a perfect horseshoe harbour and cars are banned entirely. Wander the car-free lanes, swim from the rocks below the town, and take a long dinner on the quay as the donkeys pass.

Nafplion

Cross to the Peloponnese and Nafplion, long considered Greece’s most romantic town and once its capital. A Venetian old town of marble squares sits beneath the Palamidi fortress. Explore ashore, then anchor along the coast for the afternoon.

Poros

Cruise to Poros, separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow, picturesque channel. Its clock-topped town rises above a waterfront of cafes and tavernas. Anchor in the sheltered water, swim in the clear shallows, and take in the gentle scenery.
