This route crosses two archipelagos that could hardly be less alike. The Tuamotus are atolls ’ rings of coral with no land above three metres, where the entire interest is the pass, the lagoon and what moves through them. The Societies are high volcanic islands with mountains, valleys and vanilla.
Fakarava is a UNESCO biosphere reserve and its southern pass holds a wall of several hundred grey reef sharks, stacked in the current, every day of the year. It is among the most extraordinary sights in the ocean, and almost nobody sees it.
Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain who knows the cove worth the detour. That freedom is the point of chartering. What follows is one considered way to read the South Pacific; the rest we tailor to you.
