Twenty guests. Ten cabins. One yacht. AETERNA answers a question the Adriatic charter market has never answered well: where does a group of twenty people actually sleep, eat and spend a week together without splitting across two boats?
Built by Radez in Croatia and delivered in 2020, she runs 53.28 metres with an 8.5-metre beam and a genuinely ship-like interior volume. Four of her ten cabins are full master staterooms. That matters more than the headline number, because it means the accommodation does not thin out towards the back of the boat. Families and groups who charter together rarely want a hierarchy of rooms, and AETERNA is laid out so that almost nobody draws the short straw.
The forward owner’s suite sets the tone. Panoramic glazing wraps three sides of it, a backlit onyx panel runs the length of the bed, and a mirrored oval in the deckhead lifts a room that could easily have felt enclosed. Elsewhere the cabins alternate between doubles with vanities and twins with quilted headboards, all finished in pale timber and marble, all with the same quality of light.
Her social spaces are the reason to book her. The main saloon is arranged around a single table for twenty-four, lit by two sculptural chandeliers and served by a full bar at its aft end, a room designed for one long dinner rather than several small ones. Above it, a sky lounge trades scale for intimacy: two tan leather armchairs, a chess board, shelves of books and a wall of glass to the deck. Forward on the same level, a dedicated cinema with a neon sign, a deep coral sofa and floor cushions gives the group somewhere to go after dark that is not a deck.
Wellness runs through the boat rather than sitting in a corner of it. There is a treatment room with a masseuse aboard, a Finnish sauna behind glass, and a gym on the top deck with a treadmill, an exercise bike and free weights set out in the open air. The sundeck jacuzzi is a proper spa tub, moulded seats, headrests, jets, sunk into a raised teak platform with the Dalmatian coast on every side.
At anchor she opens up. A netted sea pool measuring eight metres by five drops off the stern alongside an inflatable dock, and the toy list runs to an 8.7-metre Marine Mito chase boat, a five-metre Brig tender, jet skis, paddleboards and inflatables. A pizza oven and barbecue on the sundeck feed the group where they already are. An outdoor cinema screen extends the evening.
Her layout flexes for the group that takes her. A second dining table on the upper deck seats the full complement outdoors, so lunch and dinner do not have to happen in the same room twice a day. The four master staterooms can be allocated to four couples travelling as equals, or held for the parents of a family group with the twins and doubles below. Charter brokers rarely have to think this hard about who sleeps where; on AETERNA the question mostly answers itself.
She cruises at nine knots and tops out at twelve, which is the right speed for the coastline she works. Croatia rewards short hops between islands rather than long passages, and AETERNA is based in Split year-round with a crew of twelve who know these waters intimately.
