COME PRIMA is a 50 metre Benetti, the fifth yacht built on the yard’s Golden Bay design, and she is a reminder of why the classic Benetti profile has aged so well. Delivered in 2000 and given a full refit in 2023, she pairs a steel displacement hull built for quiet, level passages with a warm mahogany interior by the Italian designer Stefano Natucci. She does not chase speed or novelty. Her appeal is space, a genuinely full house of cabins and the settled, unhurried feel of a proper displacement yacht that treats the passage between anchorages as part of the week.
Twelve guests sleep in six cabins, a high count for 50 metres and the reason she suits a large family or a group travelling together. The owner takes a wide, calm master in cream and mahogany with a seating area, a study corner and a marble bathroom, and the layout runs on through VIP doubles, further doubles and twins below, each with an ensuite, several of them able to reset between double and twin as the guest list changes. A crew of ten runs the yacht from service areas kept well clear of the accommodation, so the guest spaces stay calm and private through the week.
The interior is classic Benetti done properly. The main salon carries white sofas and soft seating framed by warm mahogany joinery and large windows, a bright, slightly formal room that opens aft to the shaded deck. A long dining table runs under the same timber ceiling, seating the whole complement with the coast in view down both sides, and a softer upper salon by the stair gives the group a quieter second room. The refit brought the systems and the finishes up to date without touching the character of the joinery, which is exactly the balance an owner hopes for.
Outside, she layers her deck space in the way only a yacht of real volume can. A jacuzzi sits into the foredeck among sun pads and seating, private and forward with open water ahead. The aft decks carry shaded dining and lounge seating close to the swim platform, the sun deck opens out above with loungers and a bar, and there are quiet corners on every level to slip away to. It is a lot of usable space, and it means twelve guests can share the yacht without ever feeling on top of one another.
A tender and a spread of watersports gear come with the yacht, launched off the stern for guests who would rather be in the sea than beside it. The displacement hull keeps her quiet and economical on passage and steady at anchor, which suits the way she is meant to be used, moving at an easy pace from one bay to the next and lying comfortably once the anchor is down. For all her classic looks she is a current yacht under the surface, freshly refitted and properly run.
Her home water is the French and Italian Riviera, and she is well matched to it. Monaco, Cap Ferrat and the bays around Antibes and Saint Tropez sit within easy reach, the Ligurian coast and the islands lie a short passage to the east, and there is anchorage after anchorage to work through at a gentle pace. With her volume, her six cabins and her warm, timeless interior, COME PRIMA suits a large family or a group of friends who want to take the Riviera slowly, with room enough for everyone aboard.
