FUNSEA is a twenty seven metre flybridge motor yacht built by Aicon Yachts in Italy, launched in 2010 and refreshed through a 2021 refit. She is a warm, sociable planing yacht with real turn of speed, the kind a group returns to for the way she makes a week feel easy. Based in Greece, she works from Athens across the Saronic Gulf and out to the Cyclades, quick enough to reposition in an afternoon and shallow enough in draft to open the beaches and coves that make a Greek summer.
She sleeps twelve guests across five cabins, a full beam master, a bright VIP and further doubles and a twin, each with its own bathroom. The interior is finished in warm cherry timber with soft neutral upholstery, a classic, comfortable look that stays cool and calm below decks. The cabins are sized for a proper stay rather than a single night, with good storage and plenty of natural light, and the master takes the full beam with its own seating area and a generous ensuite.
The main deck runs as one open plan salon, a comfortable lounge of pale sofas flowing through to a dining area against the windows, so the group stays together whether they are reading, eating or watching the coast slide by. Wide glazing keeps the space bright and connected to the sea on every side, and it stays cool and quiet as a retreat on the hottest afternoons while the outdoor decks take over the moment the sun is out. It is an easy, unfussy interior that feels calm after a day in the water.
Her decks are built for the way people actually spend a Greek charter. The aft deck sets a table for shaded al fresco meals a step from the salon, the foredeck carries sun pads for quiet time away from the group, and the flybridge opens above as the social heart of the yacht, a broad deck with a lounge, a dining setting, a wet bar and a jacuzzi set among the sun pads. At sea level a swim platform drops straight to the water so the toys launch in seconds and the sea is never more than a step away.
Performance is a real part of her character. With a planing hull and ample power she cruises comfortably at a fast pace and has more in reserve, so a morning swim in one bay and lunch in another an hour up the coast is an ordinary day rather than a plan. That speed, combined with a shallow draft, is exactly what the scattered Greek islands reward, letting her reach anchorages a heavier displacement yacht has to pass by.
A crew of four looks after the twelve guests aboard, running the cooking, the deck and the water sports with easy familiarity. The jet skis, seabob, paddleboards, towable toys and snorkelling gear keep the water busy through the day, and the tender keeps the coastline and the harbour towns within reach for a run ashore after sunset. Days shape themselves around the group and the weather rather than a fixed programme.
FUNSEA suits families and groups of friends who want a fast, friendly and well kept flybridge yacht for the Greek islands: five ensuite cabins, a flybridge with a bar and a jacuzzi, and the speed to make the most of a week. She is sporty, sociable and easy company, a dependable base for a summer spent mostly in the water and always on the move.
