GETAWAY is one of the newest additions to Azimut’s Grande line, a 25.85-metre Grande 26M launched in 2025. She is the yacht that first carried Azimut’s large pod drive, a piece of engineering that frees up volume and smooths the ride, and the result is a 26-metre flybridge yacht that feels notably more spacious than her length suggests.
Italian style is the headline. Seen from above, GETAWAY reads as pure Grande: a long foredeck, a sculpted superstructure and a wide beam carried well aft, drawn in the clean, contemporary idiom that defines the series. The exterior is unusually generous for the size, with deck lounging on several levels, a shaded aft dining setting and a foredeck that turns into a private sun terrace at anchor. It is a layout built for the way people actually charter in the Mediterranean, moving between sun, shade and sea through the day.
Inside, the main deck is open and bright. The salon runs as a lounge, with low furniture and full-height glass that pulls the light and the horizon straight into the room, and it flows forward to a dining area without a wall between them. A well-equipped galley supports the crew of three, keeping service discreet. The finish is modern and restrained, built from pale woods, soft neutrals and carefully chosen detail rather than gloss.
Above, the flybridge is the social heart of the yacht. A shaded helm keeps the captain comfortable on passage, while sun pads and relaxed seating give the guests an uninterrupted view in every direction, the natural place for a sundowner at the end of the day. At sea level, a swim platform opens the transom to the water for easy access to swimming and the tender.
Accommodation runs to four cabins for eight guests. The master is a calm, full-feeling owner’s suite with natural light and the restrained Grande finish, and the guest cabins follow the same language, each with storage and an en-suite bathroom, the layout flexible enough for a family or a group of friends sharing the week.
Her performance is brisk. The Grande 26M carries a top speed of around 27 knots and a comfortable 23-knot cruise, so a morning along the Italian coast and an afternoon anchorage off Corsica or Sardinia stay easily within reach. GETAWAY is drawn for exactly that kind of week: Western Mediterranean waters, modern Italian style and a genuinely generous layout on a platform that stays easy to handle.
The pod drive is more than a technical footnote. It makes close-quarters handling precise and quiet, which matters when the week includes busy summer marinas and tight Mediterranean anchorages, and it buys interior volume that a conventional shaft line would eat into. For guests, the payoff is felt rather than seen: a smoother ride, more usable space below, and a yacht that slips in and out of harbour without drama. Combined with the crew of three and the easy flow between deck and sea, it makes GETAWAY a relaxed, contemporary base for a Western Mediterranean summer, from Portofino and the Riviera down to the islands.
