About HEMILEA

Hemilea is a 41 metre Baglietto, a classic Italian displacement motor yacht delivered in 2002 and kept in fine order through a 2014 refit, and she is built for long, unhurried cruising on the French and Italian Riviera. She carries the volume of a much larger yacht across three decks, a full displacement hull with a 4,200 nautical mile range and Lloyds class, and she moves at a gentle, steady pace that turns a week aboard into a proper voyage rather than a dash between marinas. For a group of up to twelve she brings generous social spaces, six private cabins and a crew of eight into a yacht made for comfort and range in equal measure.

Her decks are built for the Mediterranean sun. The sun deck runs across the top of the yacht with sunpads and open space under the sky, a run of sun loungers looks out over the coast from the shade, and the aft deck gathers a dining table for long lunches and dinners at anchor with the sea a step away. Wide side decks and a sheltered wheelhouse deck make it easy to move around the yacht, and wherever the anchor drops there is a place to sit in the sun or the shade as the day calls for it.

Down at the water she is set up for play. The stern opens into a broad swim platform and boarding area, and a full locker of toys waits alongside, with jet skis, an inflatable slide, towables and snorkelling gear ready for the day, and the tender on hand for a run ashore. The gentle draft and easy motion of a displacement hull make her a steady, comfortable base for a family, and the crew of eight keep the toys running and the day moving without ever crossing the guest areas.

Inside, the interior is warm and classic in the Italian tradition, rich timber and soft upholstery under long windows that bring the sea into every room. The main salon gathers a comfortable lounge around low tables, a separate bar makes an easy gathering point before dinner, and a formal dining salon seats the whole group beneath a bright skylight. It is a calm, traditional interior, generously proportioned and quiet underway, a cool retreat from the midday sun and a comfortable place to gather when the evening turns.

Accommodation is arranged for up to twelve guests in six cabins. A full beam master runs amidships with its own study and a private en suite, matched by a VIP with hull windows and further double and twin cabins on the lower deck, each finished in warm timber and soft neutral tones with its own bathroom. The layout keeps the guest cabins cleanly apart from the eight crew, so the yacht runs quietly through the week with a full party aboard and everyone well looked after.

Hemilea cruises the West Mediterranean through the summer, the French and Italian Riviera and the islands within easy reach of her home water. She holds a steady ten knots between anchorages, an easy displacement pace with the range to wander well down the coast, and her generous volume and long legs make her a comfortable choice for a group that would rather settle in and cruise than rush from port to port. For a family that wants space, a serious set of water toys and the steady comfort of a classic Baglietto, she is a rewarding charter on the Riviera.
