KING BENJI is a striking, multi-award-winning 47-metre explorer yacht built by the Turkish shipyard Dunya Yachts and delivered in 2024, a genuine contemporary adventurer conceived to travel the world in style and comfort. Born of her owner’s dissatisfaction with existing yachts under 500 gross tons, she was designed to offer a more immersive, adventurous experience, with naval architecture and a bold exterior by Gregory C. Marshall and playful, nature-inspired interiors by Design Unlimited that won Best Interior Design for Motor Yachts of 499GT and below at the 2025 Boat International Design and Innovation Awards. Built on a full-displacement steel hull with an aluminium superstructure over three decks, and stabilised at anchor and underway by a zero-speed fin system, she cruises comfortably at 12 knots with a range of 4,000 nautical miles, and carries genuine explorer credentials including a 10-ton aft-deck crane able to lift all manner of exploration equipment and a top-deck observation pod, or crow’s nest, reached by a ladder from the bridge deck. Her interior avoids the usual palette of white and grey in favour of richer, more textured finishes, with bamboo ceilings hand-knotted by artisans, warm and reclaimed woods, leather tiles and colourful ocean-inspired wallpapers, and each cabin has its own character and feature wall. The main salon and sky lounge open up completely through flush, sill-less sliding doors on all three sides for a wonderful indoor-outdoor living experience, and a remarkable galley with a big window and an interactive workspace invites guests and crew to interact as part of the fun. Life on deck is exceptional and built for adventure, crowned by a unique custom hot-and-cold plunge pool on the bow that can hold one side at a refreshing six degrees and the other at a warm thirty, converting into a large jacuzzi, along with a vast aft deck that transforms into a stylish living and entertaining space once the toys are deployed. An overflowing toybox includes high-speed tenders, jet skis, e-foils, Seabobs, dive gear and inflatable water parks. Accommodation is arranged for up to 10 guests in five beautifully designed en-suite cabins finished in wood and light tones. The whole upper deck is dedicated to the owner, with a private salon and a jungle-themed master suite in shades of botanical green, panoramic forward views, a private foredeck and direct access to the bow jacuzzi, while four further guest cabins, each with its own ocean-themed feature wall, complete a flexible, family-friendly layout. A professional crew of nine, well versed in water games and dive instruction, delivers energetic, bespoke service. KING BENJI spends the summer season cruising the Mediterranean, from the French Riviera and Corsica to Croatia, Italy and the Greek islands, and the winter exploring the Caribbean, and offers charter guests a rare combination of genuine explorer capability, award-winning and joyful design, ingenious features such as her dual-temperature bow pool and a warm, characterful interior aboard one of the most distinctive adventure yachts of her size on the market. Her sub-500-gross-ton design was a deliberate choice by her owner, delivering complete flexibility for both private use and charter while keeping every space beautifully considered, and she is the largest yacht Dunya Yachts has on the water after the 72-metre Axioma, a proud ambassador for the shipyard’s quality and craftsmanship. Fitted throughout with Starlink connectivity, full air conditioning, Samsung televisions in every cabin and a Sonos sound system across her decks, she balances rugged adventure with genuine five-star comfort, ensuring that whether guests are diving remote reefs, playing on her inflatable water park or simply relaxing in the dual-temperature bow pool, life on board is as effortless as it is exciting.
