About La Bella Vita

La Bella Vita is a 47-metre motor sailing gulet built by Carpe Diem Yachting in 2011 and comprehensively refitted in 2023. She combines the unhurried grace of a traditional Turkish gulet with a level of interior craftsmanship that rewards attention: every cabin, corridor and communal space is lined in hand-finished mahogany, and the artwork throughout is a curated collection of Klimt reproductions set into bespoke cabinetry rather than simply hung on walls.

Her layout dedicates serious space to living well on deck. The aft deck carries a full dining table shaded by a retractable awning, set against open-water views that shift with every anchorage. Forward, a second sunbathing zone stretches across the bow with cushioned sunpads, offering a quieter alternative to the main entertaining area and a vantage point for watching the coastline slide past under sail. Between the two, the open-plan salon links a comfortable lounge with a raised helm station and an indoor dining arrangement, all finished in the same warm mahogany palette that runs through the rest of the yacht.

Six en-suite cabins accommodate twelve guests across a range of configurations. The full-beam master occupies the widest section of the hull and includes its own private sauna, a detail that places La Bella Vita among a small handful of gulets with genuine spa facilities on board rather than a repurposed shower stall. A VIP cabin with a king bed, a second king guest cabin, a queen-bedded cabin, a twin and a cabin combining a double with a single berth complete the sleeping accommodation, each with individual en-suite bathrooms finished in marble and brass.

A crew of eight manages everything from provisioning and meal service to water-sport setup and itinerary planning, a generous ratio for a vessel of this size that ensures attentive service without crowding the guest spaces. The 2023 refit updated navigation systems, entertainment technology and soft furnishings throughout while deliberately preserving the original mahogany joinery that defines the interior atmosphere.

On the water, twin engines deliver a cruising speed of eleven knots and a top end of thirteen and a half, giving her comfortable range across the Greek islands and the wider Aegean coastline she charters through each summer. A draft of just over four metres keeps her out of the shallowest anchorages but opens the vast majority of the region, and her rig lets her sail when conditions allow, an option most motor yachts of this size simply do not offer.

The toy inventory is built for variety rather than spectacle: a jet ski, waverunner, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, wakeboard, adult and children water skis, a ringo and full snorkelling equipment all launch from a tender powered by a 115-horsepower outboard. It is a deliberately broad kit that lets different guests pursue different things in the same afternoon without competing for a single piece of equipment.

La Bella Vita charters the Greek islands each summer from thirty-eight thousand five hundred euros per week. She is a yacht for guests who value material quality and architectural detail over headline speed or raw square footage, and who find the rhythm of a gulet passage more interesting than the efficiency of a planing hull.
