About Mirage

MIRAGE is a 53-metre motor yacht built by Feadship and originally launched in 1979 as Daria, a 48-metre yacht. An extraordinary ten-month refit at Pendennis Shipyard in 2007 added five metres to her transom, brought her fully up to 53 metres and completely transformed her interior. A further comprehensive update in 2015 refined the work, and MIRAGE went on to win the coveted Neptune Trophy for Refitted/Rebuilt/Converted Yachts at the World Superyacht Awards 2016, the industry’s highest recognition for a transformation of this scope.

Her Design Unlimited interior is built on a monochromatic foundation of dark wenge wood and lighter wall panelling contrasted by white furnishings and doors framed in wenge with silk panels, creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously classic and contemporary. What makes MIRAGE truly distinctive, though, is her eight en-suite guest cabins, each designed around a different art movement: cubism, surrealism, pop art, expressionism and suprematism are all represented in paintings hung throughout the accommodation decks. No two cabins feel alike, and the collection gives the yacht an intellectual, cultural dimension that few superyachts of any era can match.

The main salon is characterised by wide teak wood flooring, white panels and cream soft furnishings, with ample seating and a large mosaic deck Jacuzzi as the centrepiece of the sun deck. An outdoor cinema adds further entertainment options, while zero-speed stabilisers ensure the yacht remains stable and comfortable both underway and at anchor.

Accommodation sleeps 12 guests across eight staterooms: a full-beam owner’s suite and a VIP on the main deck, plus two doubles and four twins with Pullman berths on the lower deck. A massage room and beauty salon, a gym and a crew of 14 round out an exceptionally complete offering for a classic Feadship that has been thoughtfully modernised at every stage.

Powered by twin Caterpillar engines to 16 knots maximum and 14 knots cruising, with a range of 5,500 nautical miles, MIRAGE is managed through Edmiston with a crew of 14 and divides her charter calendar between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

A 10-month Pendennis refit in 2007 added five metres, transformed the interior and ultimately won the World Superyacht Awards 2016 Neptune Trophy for Refitted Yachts.

Dark wenge, white furnishings and silk panels create a sharp, contemporary interior that sits comfortably alongside the yacht’s classic exterior lines.

The owner’s suite and a VIP cabin both sit on the main deck, each finished in the wenge-and-white scheme with art-movement themed paintings.

Each of MIRAGE’s eight guest cabins is individually themed around a different art movement, from cubism and surrealism to pop art and expressionism.

Each guest cabin features paintings representing a different art movement, giving MIRAGE a cultural depth unique among yachts in any class.

Two double cabins on the lower deck each have their own art movement theme and en-suite bathrooms.

First built in 1979, MIRAGE has been thoughtfully modernised at every stage to remain one of the most polished and complete classic superyachts available for charter.

Wide teak flooring, cream furnishings and a large mosaic deck Jacuzzi anchor the main social spaces, with an outdoor cinema for evening entertainment.
