About NOCTURNE

Benetti spent a decade asking what the back of a fifty-metre yacht is actually for. The B.Now 50M Oasis is the answer, and NOCTURNE is the first of them.

Her aft deck does not end at a bulwark. Three sections of it fold down and out over the water, turning the whole beam of the yacht into a single low terrace built around a pool that sits flush in the teak. Swim, and you climb out at deck level rather than up a ladder. Sit at the pool edge and your feet are close enough to the sea to feel it move. It is the sort of idea that reads as a gimmick on a drawing and reads as obvious the moment you are standing on it, and it is the reason this hull matters in a market where 50-metre yachts otherwise resolve into the same set of decisions.

Above that terrace, RWD drew a profile that is long, low and deliberately unfussy. There is no styling drama, no aggressive rake; the shapes are quiet and the glass is generous. The effect from a distance is of a yacht that looks slightly larger than her length, and slightly newer than her three years.

Inside, the mood softens. Pale oak, bleached rope textures, cream boucle and dark inlay borders run through every space, and the layout is arranged around movement rather than formality. The main saloon runs the full width of the deck with sofas facing each other across a low table, and it opens forward without a bulkhead into a bar backed by a lit spirits wall. Nobody has to be shown where to go.

Accommodation is ten guests in five suites. The owner’s suite occupies the forward end of the main deck and takes the whole beam: a bed set against a soft headboard wall, a curved seating group in the corner, a dressing room, a study alcove and a bathroom in book-matched Calacatta with a tub set against the marble. Its outboard bulkhead folds down into a private balcony, which is where most owners end up in the hour before dinner. The four guest cabins below are close to the same finish rather than a step down from it.

She is unusually well set up for people who like to move. A full gymnasium sits on the lower deck with Technogym cardio, a free-weight rack and mirrored bulkheads, and it looks out through a hull window instead of into a corridor. The tender garage carries jet skis, foilboards, wakeboards, water skis, fishing tackle and snorkelling gear, launched off the same folding platform that serves the pool.

Ten crew look after ten guests, which is a ratio you normally find on yachts fifteen metres longer. Twin MAN diesels give her a comfortable 12-knot cruise and a range of 4,500 nautical miles, so an itinerary that runs Sardinia to the Aeolians to the Amalfi coast never becomes a fuel calculation.

She charters the western Mediterranean from 325,000 per week. For a yacht this new, with this much deck and this crew count, that is a considered number rather than an ambitious one.
