OKTO is a 66-metre displacement motor yacht built by the Italian shipyard ISA and delivered in 2014. She is the product of an exceptional creative team: naval architecture and engineering by BMT Nigel Gee, exterior styling by Andrea Vallicelli and an interior by the late Alberto Pinto, one of the designer’s final superyacht commissions. With her stealthy, jet-black steel hull, piercing bow and sparkling superstructure, OKTO cuts an unmistakable figure on the water, and she has been widely credited with raising the bar for design and engineering in her class.
Her signature feature sits on the main deck aft: a generous infinity-edge swimming pool that can be set to salt or fresh water, warmed or cooled, and run still or as a contraflow current for swimming against. Surrounded by sun loungers, it gives the aft deck the relaxed feel of a private beach club and quickly becomes the social hub of any charter. Above, the bridge deck offers ample space for alfresco dining, lounging and socialising, transforming by night into a glamorous setting for entertaining, with a state-of-the-art sound system and a forward touch-and-go helipad that doubles as a dance floor.
OKTO accommodates ten guests across five cabins. The master suite, finished in whitened sycamore joinery, is located on the main deck and is notable for its absence of portholes in favour of skylights, together with a private balcony that folds down at the touch of a button. An adjoining VIP can serve as a children’s cabin or study, while four further cabins on the lower deck each carry their own distinct colour scheme. A single staff cabin and a dedicated massage room, which can double as a beauty or therapy room, complete the accommodation.
One of OKTO’s most remarkable qualities is her quietness. The engineering team’s work on noise and vibration damping is exceptional, to the point that music played in one room is barely audible in the next, ensuring a serene atmosphere in the owner’s and guest areas whether at anchor or underway. Other lifestyle highlights include an upper-salon cinema fitted with a large screen and a powerful sound system, a spa and a private gymnasium on the sun deck, the latter wrapped in vast windows and skylights that make it one of the best vantage points aboard.
For time on the water, OKTO carries an extensive selection of action-packed toys, including jet skis, towables, water skis, a seabob, wakeboards, wakesurf boards, beach games and full scuba equipment, supported by three tenders led by a stylish Dariel guest tender. A glass guest elevator connects the lower deck to the bridge deck, and a stabilisation system ensures comfortable cruising throughout.
Built from steel and aluminium as a full-displacement vessel, she combines generous volume with reassuring stability at anchor. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she cruises efficiently at around sixteen knots and reaches a top speed of roughly eighteen knots, comfortably above the average for her size, with a long range from her substantial fuel tanks.
A professional crew of seventeen delivers polished, attentive service. OKTO typically cruises the Mediterranean, including Greece, in summer and the Caribbean in winter, and from her commanding lines to her sublime quietness and unique infinity pool, she offers a charter experience that genuinely exceeds expectations.
