SEVEN SINS is a 52-metre motor yacht delivered by Sanlorenzo in 2017 as the very first vessel in the yard’s ground-breaking 52Steel series. Built on a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure and designed inside and out by Officina Italiana Design with interior collaboration from Balo Design, she won the Neptune Trophy in the Displacement Motor Yachts Below 500GT category at the 2018 World Superyacht Awards, an extraordinary endorsement for the inaugural hull of a new series and a clear statement of what Sanlorenzo had achieved with a genuinely innovative design.
The signature feature is a glass-bottomed swimming pool on the main aft deck. The pool sits at main-deck level, its transparent floor filtering natural light down through the ceiling of the beach club directly below, giving that space a quality rarely found on any yacht regardless of size. The effect is both practical and spectacular: guests lounging in the beach club can watch the pool above, while the Jacuzzi and sun pads on the sundeck above form a complete vertical leisure stack from sun deck to sea level.
Her exterior is characterised by an exceptional use of glass throughout: floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the main salon, allowing natural light to flood every interior space. The palette is clean and modern, using a tasteful neutral scheme that allows the sea views to dominate rather than compete with the decor. Marble bathrooms add a luxurious material note throughout the accommodation decks.
Accommodation sleeps 11 guests across five staterooms: a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck forward with an emperor-sized bed, lounge area, office and a full-beam en-suite bathroom with both a whirlpool bath and shower. On the lower deck, two VIP cabins are joined by two further doubles, one of which can convert to a twin with an additional Pullman berth. A sauna, a fully equipped gym with Technogym equipment and a wheelchair-accessible elevator complete the passenger facilities.
At sea, the drive-in tender bay gives SEVEN SINS the clean, uncluttered stern profile of a much larger yacht, with the Castoldi jet tender launching and retrieving without manual crane work. Twin Caterpillar engines deliver a maximum of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of 4,400 nautical miles. Managed through Edmiston with a crew of 11, she divides her year between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
