TALISMAN C is a 70.6-metre motor yacht built by Proteksan Turquoise in Turkey and delivered in 2011, designed inside and out by the London studio H2 Yacht Design with naval architecture by Hydro Tec. She was the largest yacht ever built by Proteksan Turquoise at the time of her launch and was commissioned by an experienced owner upgrading from a 54.2-metre yacht who simply wanted more: more deck space, more toy storage, more room for family fun. That brief shows in every corner of the boat.
Her interior plays with an ornate, Art Deco-inspired theme that somehow stays warm and liveable rather than overstated, built around a balance of black lacquer surfaces and cream furnishings. Grand sofas and armchairs cluster around an illuminated coffee table in the main lounge, while the formal dining area sits beneath a bespoke crystal light installation just behind it. An informal dining table and even a karaoke machine round out a layout designed for real family life at sea, not just photographs.
The owneru2019s suite is forward-facing on the main deck, with a boudoir-style decor, voile curtains around the king-sized bed and crystal chandeliers used as bedside reading lights. Its en-suite bathroom is H2 Yacht Design at its most creative, finished in glossy two-tone wood veneers and gold mosaic tiles around a spa bath, with a huge walk-in wardrobe and a private library that can convert into an additional cabin. The VIP suite sits aft of the owneru2019s suite, and the lower deck holds two further double cabins and two twin cabins, all finished with spa-bath en-suites to the same high standard, accommodating 12 guests across six staterooms in total.
Deck space is where TALISMAN C truly delivers on her original brief. The sun deck carries a large glass-backed Jacuzzi forward, flanked by sunpads, a sit-up bar, a day bed and a shaded dining area beneath the hardtop, with a 50-inch screen nearby for movie nights. The upper deck aft adds further open-air dining and two L-shaped sun lounges, while a crowu2019s nest observation lounge above the hardtop, enclosed by glass screens to cut the breeze, offers sweeping uninterrupted views and a quiet spot to watch the sunset.
A full-beam tender and toy garage on the lower deck, accessed through clamshell doors with extending overhead cranes, was the whole point of commissioning this yacht, and it shows: a 7.7-metre Ski Nautique Super Air, a 7-metre Novurania Chase tender and a rescue tender all launch from this single space, alongside three SeaDoos, a Zapata flyboard, four SeaBobs, kayaks, scuba gear, windsurf and kitesurf equipment, paddleboards and a wide range of inflatables, all overseen by an RYA-approved water sports programme.
Twin Caterpillar diesel engines give TALISMAN C a cruising speed of around 15 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles, supporting a genuinely flexible charter calendar. She spends summer in the West Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean for the winter season, with a crew of 19 who specialise in hosting families and multigenerational groups, making her one of the charter marketu2019s most consistently popular choices for exactly the kind of trip she was built for.
