About THALYSSA

There is a particular kind of Mediterranean charter that wants to be in three places in a week, and THALYSSA was built for it.

She is a Custom Line 124 – Ferretti Group’s planing 38-metre, drawn by Zuccon International Project – and she will do 27 knots. That figure changes how a week works. Portofino for lunch and Saint-Tropez for dinner stops being a joke and becomes a decision. Cruise her at 13 knots and she is quiet and economical; open her up and an afternoon repositioning that would take a displacement yacht six hours takes two. For groups who charter around a calendar rather than around an anchorage, that is worth more than an extra metre of beam.

Her looks help. Custom Line gave her metallic grey topsides under a white superstructure, with long glazing bands that taper aft and a bow that carries real flare. From beam-on she reads as much sharper than her volume suggests – a fast boat that happens to sleep twelve, rather than a floating apartment with engines.

The main deck is open-plan and full of light. Pale limed oak, cream leather and low seating run the width of the saloon, with a mirrored ceiling detail that lifts the headroom and a formal dining table forward under a glass bulkhead. Doors slide back to the aft deck, where a wide sofa and a wood table sit under the deck above. Up a level, a skylounge in the same palette holds a media wall, a second bar and a run of sofas with palm-print cushions – a room that stays cool at midday when the outside decks are at their hottest.

Five cabins take twelve guests. The owner’s cabin is full beam and forward on the lower deck, with the bed facing outboard, joinery running the length of one side and a black marble bathroom with a tub set into the stone. A VIP double sits aft with a wide screen above the bed head and long hull glazing; the remaining doubles and twins are compact and well drawn, with the same limed oak and the same care over storage.

Outside, she is more generous than a 37-metre normally is. The bow opens into a full sunpad and lounge with its own table; the sundeck runs the beam of the yacht with sofas, a dining table under the hardtop and open teak aft. Her toy list is genuinely good for the size – a waterslide off the upper deck, a jet ski, kayaks, wakeboards and paddleboards, with the tender carried on the platform rather than eating deck space.

Seven crew look after twelve guests. She works out of Imperia on the Ligurian coast, which puts the Côte d’Azur, the Cinque Terre, Corsica and Sardinia all within an easy day, and she stays in the western Mediterranean year-round.

At 110,000 per week she sits below where most 37-metre yachts with this guest count are priced, and she gives back something they mostly cannot: the ability to change your mind about where the week is going and still get there before dark.
