TWIZZLE is a 57.5-metre performance cruising ketch built by the legendary Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman and delivered in 2010, extensively updated in 2023. Created by owners who were seasoned yachtsmen, she was the result of 46 detailed design meetings with the yard and a meticulous custom process that included full-size mock-ups of every guest cabin before a single fitting was installed. The result is a yacht that pushed the limits of what was considered possible for a sailing superyacht of her era, and arguably still does.
Her exterior design is by Dubois Naval Architects working with Redman Whiteley Dixon, who also created the interiors in collaboration with Todhunter Earle. The brief was to combine exceptional offshore performance with genuine residential luxury, and the results earned TWIZZLE a remarkable collection of accolades: two ShowBoats Design Awards for best interior design and best recreational area, plus the ISS Best Superyacht Interior Design Award and Best Sailing Yacht Design Award.
The sailing itself is extraordinary. A 62-metre carbon mainmast carries 1,780 square metres of sail area, the rig designed specifically to clear the Bridge of the Americas at Panama at low water, giving TWIZZLE genuine circumnavigation credentials that she has already demonstrated in practice. Lightweight composite materials are used extensively above the waterline, while 120 tonnes of internal ballast secure stiffness and stability. A swing keel operates within a fixed 3.8-metre outer keel, with the daggerboard extending to 10 metres for serious upwind work. Sails hoist in under two minutes, and the yacht is as competitive on a race course as she is comfortable on a long ocean passage.
Her interior is a masterpiece of considered luxury. Acid-washed oak plays against chocolate lacquers, bathrooms are finished in pale polished marble, and every surface has been treated with cashmere throws, soft leathers, woven linens and hand-painted silks. A particularly clever space is the raised pilothouse, positioned forward of the main salon: an unusual configuration for a yacht of this size that creates a separate, private forward-facing lounge usable as a dining area, cinema or quiet reading room.
Accommodation is arranged for up to nine guests across four staterooms: a full owner’s suite with walk-in dressing room and separate his-and-hers bathrooms, two further double cabins and one twin cabin. The owner’s suite enjoys private access to its own aft cockpit, separate from the guest cockpit, ensuring genuine privacy for the principal charterer. A crew of 11 looks after all nine guests, an exceptional ratio that reflects the yard’s commitment to a genuinely personal experience.
For active guests, TWIZZLE carries two Castoldi jet tenders, SeaBobs, Fliteboards, kayaks, kite surfing gear and snorkelling equipment, alongside two electric Vektron eBikes for exploring ashore. She has completed a full circumnavigation, cruises the Pacific and Mediterranean regularly, and remains one of the most genuinely significant sailing superyachts currently available for charter.
Designed to excel at all wind speeds and directions, TWIZZLE is equally at home racing around buoys and settled into a long Pacific passage.
Every detail of TWIZZLE’s interior is bespoke, from cashmere throws and hand-painted silks to marble bathrooms and woven linen furnishings.
