She rides higher through chop than her size would suggest.
A deep vee entry, carried on a twenty two inch deadrise, gives the bow a knife like bite into a head sea, while a flare along the topsides throws spray outward instead of across the deck. At cruising speeds the bow is set to ride slightly higher, letting the hull knock down chop before it reaches the cockpit, then settling for a clear view forward once she is up on plane. Turns come through crisp and flat, without the skidding or heavy heel smaller boats of this length often show. Raised deck flooring and taller bulwarks add a real sense of security underfoot, exactly what a boat this size needs when the water turns lively.
The twin steps beneath her hull do more work than they get credit for.
