The Targa 45 OPEN is the Alberto Mancini restyle of a boat Fairline first sold as the Targa 43, and the changes went well beyond the badge. The sheerline dropped, the windscreen raked back, and the result reads as Italian rather than English from fifty metres away. It shares its hull and running gear with the 45 GT, so choosing between the two comes down to how much roof a buyer wants.
Here it is a low hardtop with an electric sliding canvas panel. Open, the cockpit and helm become one continuous space. Closed, there is shade at midday without the enclosed feel of a coupe. Sunbeds sit aft and on the foredeck, and the tender lives in a garage under the cockpit sole rather than on the platform.
Below, two cabins sleep four. The forward owner cabin takes an island berth, the mid cabin works as a twin or a double, and both share a single heads with a separate shower. Fairline publishes four berths flat, with no third-cabin option on this version.
