She planes early and holds her line through a hard turn.
Outboard options stretch from a single Mercury V8 to twin Yamaha XTO 425 units, and a cruising speed of 25 knots opens onto a top end of 38 knots when pressed. The stepped hull keeps spray down and composure up, cutting cleanly through a following wake rather than skipping across it. Active trim and saveable driving profiles, standard on the Mercury package, let a new owner find the right attitude in seconds rather than minutes. A 300 nautical mile range and an 800 litre fuel capacity mean she is just as capable of a long coastal run as a short afternoon loop, and the optional joystick with station keeping turns tight harbour work into a non event.
Her hardtop reads as a closed deckhouse, not an afterthought.
Tony Castro drew the lines, and his naval architecture background shows in a hull that widens quickly above the waterline to free up foredeck space without compromising her run through the water. The hardtop spans the full beam and opens asymmetrically toward the stern, sheltering the wet bar and companionway while keeping the cockpit sociable and shaded. Windows run along all four sides of the saloon, carrying natural light into a space this size often loses it. A central staircase, three steps wide, connects the bow walkway to the helm, and the result is a profile that looks settled at rest and purposeful underway.
Two cabins and a sofa that earns her keep twice over.
The saloon’s U shaped sofa drops to form a second sleeping area, supplementing the full double berth tucked beneath the cockpit. Headroom there runs to around a metre, but length and width are unrestricted, and indirect LED lighting keeps the space from feeling enclosed. Galeon’s own design team handled the interior, favouring full headroom in the saloon and windows on every side over unnecessary ornament. A starboard heads compartment carries an electric toilet and a proper washbasin. Between the two sleeping areas, the 335 GTO comfortably accommodates four guests overnight and eight for a day on the water, with a single crew berth covering the practicalities.
The cockpit does the entertaining, and the wet bar does the serving.
Set under the hardtop to port, it carries a fridge, sink, worktop and dedicated storage, enough for cold food and drinks through a full afternoon, with a hob available as an option for owners who want to cook on board. Forward, the bow widens early above the waterline to free up a genuine seating and sunbathing area rather than a token perch. Aft, the cockpit stays open and shaded beneath the asymmetric hardtop, giving guests a place to gather that is neither saloon nor open deck but something more useful than either on a short run out and back.
Entry level to the GTO range, not to the experience.
At 10.5 metres length overall and a 3.3 metre beam, the 335 GTO draws just 0.9 metres, opening up anchorages a deeper hulled yacht would avoid. A starting price around 350,000 euros places her at the accessible end of Galeon’s range without a corresponding cut in build quality or deck layout. The optional Mercury joystick, complete with station keeping, turns single handed docking into routine work rather than a source of stress. Galeon’s engineering department builds every hull in house, and for an owner weighing a first yacht or a tender to a larger vessel, the 335 GTO offers genuine capability, real accommodation and performance, at a price that keeps the decision simple.
