The 12.5 WA announces her flagship status before you even step aboard.
A full width windshield in tinted glass runs the breadth of the console, giving her a bold, distinctive face that sets her apart from the smaller Cap Camarats in the range. Beneath it, Michael Peters redrew the hull specifically for this model, removing the stepped running surface used lower down the range in favour of a cleaner form built for higher speeds and heavier displacement. The result reads as deliberate rather than simply bigger: a longer, leaner profile at 12.5 metres that still carries the walkaround’s open, sporting character rather than tipping into something heavier and more formal.
Fifty knots is not a figure many 12.5 metre boats can put on a spec sheet.
Triple Yamaha outboards, 300 horsepower apiece, give the 12.5 WA that top speed and a settled 30 knot cruise for covering real distance rather than short hops. A joystick helm makes low speed manoeuvring simple even for a boat carrying 6.5 tonnes of displacement, while an automatic trim system keeps her running flat and level rather than bow high, smoothing out the transition from idle to cruise. Fuel capacity of 1,150 litres supports a 300 nautical mile range, enough for her to be genuinely used rather than kept close to a single marina.
Life aboard the 12.5 WA is arranged around the water rather than away from it.
An electrically lowering section of the port bulwark opens directly onto a water level terrace, turning a swim stop into an occasion rather than a scramble down a ladder. Forward, three chaise lounges give sunbathers their own deck entirely separate from the cockpit, shaded when needed by a retractable awning. Aft, L-shaped seating around a folding table sits eight guests comfortably for lunch, matching her day capacity exactly. Between the terrace, the bow and the cockpit, the 12.5 WA offers three genuinely distinct places to spend an afternoon rather than one crowded deck doing all the work.
Below deck, the 12.5 WA offers a cabin that would not embarrass a boat several metres longer.
The master cabin converts a double bed and a sofa into one extra large sleeping area, backed by a dedicated bathroom with a separate shower rather than the shared wet room found on smaller Cap Camarats. A second cabin brings total sleeping capacity to four across the two spaces. An indoor galley with a sink and gas burners stands ready as a weather backup to the cockpit’s outdoor cooking, useful on the days when a meal has to happen regardless of what the sky is doing. It is accommodation built for genuine nights aboard, not just a change of clothes between day trips.
The 12.5 WA is priced to match her position as the range’s flagship, not to undercut it.
She measures 12.5 metres on a 3.6 metre beam, displacing 6.5 tonnes on a 0.8 metre draught that still keeps her out of the deepest draught bracket for her size. Standard power is triple 300 horsepower Yamaha outboards, with 350 horsepower Yamahas or 300 horsepower Mercurys available for owners who want to push the performance further still. Michael Peters Yacht Design handled the naval architecture and exterior lines, with Jeanneau’s own design team responsible for the interior. New, she is priced from 375,000 euros, a figure that reflects a boat built to sit at the top of a serious outboard range rather than simply the largest model in it.
