Her running surface is drawn directly from the X24, a hull Master Craft has already taken trophies with, and it shows in how cleanly she holds 30 knots at cruise and stretches to 40 at the top. The standard 6.0 litre Ilmor MPI drives through a vee drive geared at 1.57 to 1 for strong low speed pull, while 6.2 litre GDI and 7.4 litre MPI options, both geared at 2.1 to 1, trade some of that low end torque for sharper acceleration once the ballast tanks are loaded. It is the same formula the smaller XTs use, scaled up to match her extra length and her heavier, fuller cockpit.
