SAY Carbon Yachts builds what it calls the supercars of the sea: ultralight, full-carbon day boats and sports yachts engineered and hand-laminated in Germany. Based near Lake Constance in Wangen im Allgaeu, the yard applies aerospace and motorsport composite methods to pleasure craft, producing hulls a fraction of the weight of conventional GRP boats. The payoff is speed, range and fuel efficiency: a SAY carries less structure, so it needs less power to reach and hold high cruising speeds, and it rides lighter on the water.
The range spans the trailerable SAY 29 and SAY 32, the SAY 42 and new SAY 42 Sport, and the flagship SAY 52. Several models use the patented Petestep hull, with A-shaped deflectors that cut drag, spray and consumption. Hybrid-electric drive is offered for silent running in sheltered bays. Each boat is highly customisable, from the carbon finish to the interior materials, and built to CE Category A on the larger models. After a restructuring in 2024, the company resumed production and continues to develop its sports series, presenting recent models at Palma, Cannes, Genoa and Duesseldorf. For a buyer, a SAY is a design-led, technically distinctive alternative to the mainstream sportsboat, with performance that comes from engineering rather than brute horsepower.
