Power comes from five Mercury V12 outboards, 600 horsepower apiece, driving the 670 LXS to a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top end of 52 knots. A Mercury joystick combines steering and shifting with a heading hold function, while Zipwake’s dynamic trim control keeps the ride flat regardless of load or sea state. Twin 24 inch Garmin displays put every reading within reach of the helm, and an advanced vessel management system ties propulsion, trim and navigation into one coherent picture for a yacht that rewards confident, fast handling. Few builders ask five separate outboards to work this well together.

Scout turned to the superyacht design house Harrison Eidsgaard to shape the 670 LXS, drawn in part to the flared hull the brand has built its reputation on. A dark window band runs the length of the topsides with a deliberate kink at the stern, a detail repeated in the structure around it rather than treated as decoration. Rear glass doors fold open and side platforms extend the cockpit out over the water, while folding stairs stow flush when not needed. Outdoor fabrics are specified for sustained sun and saltwater exposure, a detail that matters once a yacht is used rather than admired at the dock.
Below decks, two cabins sleep four guests without ever feeling like a boat pretending to be a yacht.
Interior designer Freya Hiscock drew up three distinct colour schemes for owners to choose between, built around light oak joinery, soft grey upholstery and considered nautical accents. The forward main cabin uses a central door that can be left open to borrow light and space from the lounge beyond it, a small decision that changes how the whole deck feels under way. Storage is worked into the joinery rather than added as an afterthought, and the fit and finish throughout reflects decades of Scout’s own production discipline rather than a one-off styling exercise bolted onto a performance hull.
By day she holds eight guests in comfort, and the layout gives every one of them somewhere good to be.
An upper level galley serves both an indoor dinette and an outdoor bar, so cooking and conversation never compete for the same space. Forward, a sunbed lounge and helm companion seats catch the breeze under way, while aft a shaded bar with built in stools and a bench seat extend the cockpit into genuine living space. Scout has not abandoned its fishing roots either: rod holders, fish tanks and bait wells are built into the deck for owners who want to work the water as much as cruise across it. The yard tested the 670 LXS with eleven people aboard, and the deck plan never felt stretched.
A flagship built to go the distance, not just to arrive quickly.
Range extends to 400 nautical miles, and a shallow one metre draught opens anchorages that deeper flagships never reach, pairing genuine capability with genuine accessibility. Close to 5,700 litres of fuel capacity gives real margin on longer passages, and with five separate outboards, she carries built in redundancy no twin diesel installation can match: the loss of one engine still leaves four to bring her home. A crew of two is enough to run her day to day, modest for a yacht of this scale and a reflection of how much of her complexity Scout has engineered out of the owner’s hands.
