The Predator 84 sat at the top of the range Sunseeker built between 2008 and 2014, and it solves a problem most sportsyachts of the era ducked: how to carry a flybridge without losing the low, fast profile the Predator name depends on. At 26.48 metres on a 6.34 metre beam it takes eight guests and three crew, and a sliding hardtop opens the main saloon and cockpit to the sky when the weather allows.

Power goes through conventional shafts rather than pods, which is why the boat still makes 37 knots at 64.7 tonnes. Sunseeker offered a wide choice of engines across the production run, and boats on the market today carry anything from twin 1,800hp units to a pair of 2,640hp MTUs, so the performance of any individual hull depends heavily on how its first owner specified it. Checking the engine package matters more here than on most models.

Berths for three crew are part of what separates the 84 from the smaller Predators: this is a boat set up to run with permanent crew aboard rather than be driven by its owner on a weekend.

Fuel capacity is 4,000 litres, rated for 350 nautical miles held at 10 knots, and the tender garage keeps the bathing platform clear for swimming.

Fifteen years on, the 84 has settled into a broad price band. That spread tracks engine choice, hours and refit history rather than model year alone, so a buyer with a good surveyor has room to find value.
