Sunseeker San Remo For Sale

The San Remo is one of the smaller boats Sunseeker has built in recent years and, at 15.74 metres, one of the easiest to own. Volvo IPS pods rather than shafts drive it to 30 knots, and the difference shows in how it handles: joystick berthing, a shallow 1.3 metre draft and no propeller shafts running under the accommodation.

That last point is what makes the interior work. The space the pods free up goes into the saloon and the cabins below, which sleep four to five depending on how the boat was specified, without the cramped feel a hull of this length usually carries. Two large sunpads and a wide bathing platform handle the outdoor side.

The judges agreed. The San Remo took Best Sportscruiser over 45ft at the Motor Boat Awards in 2014, the year after it launched, and Sunseeker kept it in production until 2017.

Fuel capacity is 1,320 litres, rated at 300 nautical miles when held at 10 knots, which frames the boat accurately: this is a day and long weekend cruiser rather than a passagemaker.

For a buyer, the appeal is running cost. A 16 metre IPS cruiser burns a fraction of what a shaft-driven Predator does, needs no crew and can be handled by an owner alone. Boats trade in a narrow band, with condition and hours counting for more than the year on the paperwork.
