On her sea trial, the numbers came back almost exactly as Tiara says they would.
Independent testing of the standard triple 425hp Yamaha XTO package reported a top speed within a knot of her own quoted 47 knot maximum, and a 0 to 30 mph run completed in under nine seconds. Cruising at 38 knots, she carries 1,500 litres of fuel for a 250 nautical mile range, figures that hold up well because the engineering behind them has already been checked by someone other than her builder. A Yamaha Helm Master joystick system comes standard with the triple XTO package, putting precise docking control within reach regardless of experience, and an optional Seakeeper gyrostabiliser settles her further at rest.
At just over thirteen metres, she reads as a serious offshore centre console rather than a weekend runabout.
A twenty one degree deep V hull and a 1.1 metre draught give her the bite to handle open water without sacrificing access to shallower anchorages. Triple outboards on the transom free up the hull for a wide 4 metre beam, carried forward into a wraparound bow cockpit with three forward facing backrests. The fit and finish extend below the waterline too: her builder singles out the belowdecks mechanical space, with clean access to the boat’s systems, as one of her strongest features, the kind of detail owners only appreciate after months of ownership rather than at the dock.
Two cabins and a crew berth turn a day boat into something an owner can actually live aboard.
Forward and midship berths sleep four guests, with a well appointed head and a crew cabin that sets the 43 LS apart from the smaller boats in her range. The galley sits under the hardtop between the helm and the aft lounge, with rear facing seating that keeps whoever is cooking part of the conversation rather than shut away below. Finished throughout in Tiara’s usual architectural teak, the accommodation is built for short stays rather than long voyages, which suits her purpose: a fast, capable platform that can still host a weekend away without anyone sleeping on deck.
The aft lounge does not pick a side. She rotates to face either one.
A U shaped lounge around a teak table turns manually to face forward or aft, letting guests choose between watching the wake or facing the galley and helm. Up front, a wraparound bow cockpit with three forward facing backrests gives a second social zone away from the cockpit, useful on a boat built to carry twelve day guests. Triple outboards keep the transom busy, trimming the swim platform somewhat, a trade her builder accepts in exchange for the power and redundancy three engines bring to a thirteen metre hull running well offshore.
Three engines, two cabins, one clear idea of what a sport cruiser should be able to do.
The standard triple 425hp Yamaha XTO package can be swapped for triple Mercury Racing 450s or twin Mercury 600hp V12 outboards, depending on how an owner weighs power against simplicity. Tiara’s own team built her around a 10,100 kilogram platform that carries fuel, water and four guests without losing the agility her hull form promises. She is rated for twelve day guests and four overnight, with a crew cabin that makes genuinely short handed, extended cruising realistic rather than theoretical. For an owner who has outgrown a smaller sport boat but is not ready for a full flybridge motor yacht, she sits in a considered middle ground.
