Naxos is the Cyclades’ largest island and arguably its most rewarding for charter guests willing to explore beyond the main port and beach destinations. The island’s mountainous interior, with its Byzantine monasteries, marble quarries and medieval Venetian tower villages, is accessible by car from the quayside. At 125,000 Euros per week, yachts of 45 to 55 metres with eight to ten crew provide the comfort and crew capability to turn this exploration into a seamlessly arranged programme.
The island’s coastline offers variety across its full perimeter. The west-facing beaches at Agios Prokopios and Agia Anna are among the finest in the Cyclades. The quieter east coast, rarely visited by charter yachts, has smaller coves and a more local atmosphere. Koufonisia, a forty-five-minute passage to the southeast, provides a natural extension with some of the most colourful water in Greece.
Rates from 125,000 Euros per week cover the yacht and full crew before the advance provisioning allowance of approximately 30 percent. Naxos Town’s quayside berths are available throughout the summer, and the island’s provisioning, particularly its locally produced cheese, potatoes, citrus and fresh fish, is exceptional by Cycladic standards. High season availability in this price range is limited; booking well in advance is recommended for the July and August peak.
Naxos suits guests who want the Cycladic island experience with more depth, more space and less of the social intensity of Mykonos or the summer congestion of Santorini.
