PIER PRESSURE is an Azimut Grande 27M, delivered in 2020 and refitted in 2024, and she spends her time in the Bahamas, running between Nassau and the quiet cays of the Exumas. She measures a little under 27 metres and carries the Grande signature: a vertical bow, long lines of glazing and a carbon fibre superstructure that keeps her light, so she holds a fast 24 knot cruise and opens up to 28 knots when the water allows. For guests that means short hops between islands and long, easy days at anchor.
Ten guests sleep in five cabins. The owner takes a full beam suite forward on the main deck, a large bed set against a floor to ceiling hull window with a dressing area and a marble bathroom of its own. Below decks are two VIP doubles and two twins, each with its own bathroom, a layout that works as well for two families as for a group of couples travelling together. A crew of four looks after the yacht and keeps their own quarters and the service areas out of the guest spaces.
Inside, the main deck is one bright salon in warm timber and cream. A long sofa and low tables sit aft where full glass doors slide open to the shaded aft deck, and a second group of chairs gathers forward around a screen for a quieter moment. Further forward a separate dining table seats the whole group under a run of pendant lights, framed by windows on both sides. The interior is the work of Achille Salvagni, and it reads calm and warm against the bright light off the Bahamian banks.
The flybridge is the heart of the yacht outdoors. It runs nearly the full beam and carries a bar, a shaded dining table, open lounge seating and a wide run of sun pads at the after end, a single deck that covers everything from breakfast in the shade to an afternoon in the sun. The main aft deck below sits a step up from the swim platform with its own dining and a curved sofa, and the bow is kept private with a further set of sun pads built into the foredeck.
A tender and a full spread of watersports gear come with the yacht, launched off the swim platform for guests who want to be in the water. With her speed, her volume for the size and her balance of shaded and open deck space, PIER PRESSURE suits a family or a group of friends who want to cover ground in the Bahamas, moving between the Exumas and the Abacos, dropping anchor over the sandbanks and treating each island as its own day. Her fast cruise makes a wider stretch of the archipelago reachable inside a single charter week.
The 2024 refit brought her interior and systems up to date, and she carries the stabilisers, air conditioning and quiet running that make long days aboard comfortable in the Bahamian heat. Warm timber, pale upholstery and blue accents run through the cabins and the living spaces, so the whole yacht reads as one considered piece rather than a set of separate rooms, and the crew of four keep the service light and close at hand without ever crowding the guests.
