Delta Marine, a Seattle-based custom yard, builds aluminium semi-displacement and displacement motor yachts engineered for extended range and seakeeping in open ocean conditions. In the Exumas, that capability is rarely tested on the relatively short inter-island passages, but it does mean the yacht can depart Nassau in any winter weather and arrive at Staniel Cay in comfort. Delta yachts typically range from 30 to 50 metres and carry interior volumes proportional to their LOA, with layouts favouring practical, comfortable spaces over ornate European formality. Charter weeks from December through April take advantage of the Bahamas dry season, when anchoring conditions in the Exuma Sound are predictably calm and the Milky Way is visible from the deck without light pollution. Rates for Delta Marine yachts in the region start from around 80,000 euros per week, with the advance provisioning allowance of roughly 30 percent covering fuel from the Staniel Cay fuel dock, provisions, marina fees, and all drinks. Delta vessels often carry excellent watersports equipment, and the Exuma cays offer exceptional conditions for kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkelling at the many reef systems between Staniel and Warderick Wells. The crew complement is typically six to ten, experienced in Bahamas navigation and local knowledge.
