SUNMOON is a 20 metre Fountaine Pajot sailing catamaran delivered in 2024, a modern, light-filled cat built for easy family cruising in the Greek islands. She sleeps ten guests across five cabins and is run by a crew of three, and her shallow draft, level decks and generous outdoor space make her an ideal base for a week of swimming, sailing and island hopping in the Aegean.
The main deck saloon is bright and open, with a lounge and a dining table set under windows that wrap the front of the room, and a galley that keeps the chef part of the group rather than shut away. Glass doors fold back to join the saloon to the aft cockpit, so the two spaces become one at anchor, with a second dining table outside in the shade. It is a layout that lets a large group eat, relax and gather together without ever feeling crowded.
Where the yacht really shines is on her upper and forward decks. The flybridge carries sunpads, a lounge and a second helm, giving guests a high, breezy vantage point under way and a sun deck at anchor. The foredeck adds wide sunpads between the hulls, a favourite place to lie back as the boat sails, and the trampolines and bathing steps put the water within easy reach for the whole group.
Below, the accommodation is spread across five cabins in the two hulls. The master double is bright and well finished, with hull windows and its own bathroom, and the further cabins, a mix of doubles, each have private facilities of their own. Warm timber, pale fabrics and plenty of natural light run through every room, and because SUNMOON is a catamaran the cabins sit low and level, so nights at anchor stay quiet and settled.
Under sail she is gentle and undemanding, moving at around eight knots in a good breeze and motoring just above that when the wind fades. Her shallow draft opens up the shallow bays and quiet anchorages of the Cyclades and the Saronic that deeper yachts have to pass by, and the stability of two hulls makes the sailing relaxed even for guests who are new to it.
Delivered in 2024, she is fresh throughout, with modern systems, air conditioning and a well-stocked toy locker that the crew set up at each stop. A week aboard usually falls into an easy pattern of sailing in the morning breeze, anchoring off a beach or a village for lunch and a swim, and gathering in the cockpit for dinner as the sun goes down. The crew tailor the route to the wind and to what the guests want to see, whether that is the busier harbours of the Cyclades or the quiet anchorages of the Saronic and Argolic gulfs closer to Athens.
With a crew of three, including a chef, looking after the sailing, the cooking and the water toys, SUNMOON makes a comfortable and easy home on the water for a family or a group of friends. Modern, bright and rich in deck space, she offers a genuine Greek islands sailing holiday without any of the compromises that come with a smaller boat.
