VYNO is a classic in the best sense: a 26.5 metre Canados 90, built in 2003 and refreshed in 2019, that trades the cool minimalism of newer yachts for warmth, craftsmanship and genuine sea room. Her interior is a world of polished mahogany, soft blue textiles and honest joinery, the kind of finish that has aged into character rather than out of fashion. For a charter party of ten who value comfort and space over the latest badge, she is a lot of yacht for the money.
She was drawn around guests. Ten sleep across four cabins, an arrangement that mixes full doubles with twins and Pullman berths so families travel together without compromise. The owner’s cabin is bright and full of width, with hull windows and its own bathroom, and the further cabins are finished to the same standard, each with an ensuite. Nobody aboard feels like an afterthought, which is not always true of yachts twice her price.
The social heart of her is the main deck. A wood-lined saloon runs to a comfortable lounge at one end and a formal dining table at the other, wrapped in windows that keep the sea in view from every seat. A second, more intimate lounge gives somewhere quieter to read or talk. Step out and the aft deck sets for long lunches in the shade, the natural centre of gravity on a warm day.
Above and forward, VYNO opens up. The flybridge carries a sunpad, a wet bar and shaded seating, the place for sundowners and the run between anchorages. A large foredeck sunpad gives a private spot away from the crowd. At water level a swim platform and a full complement of toys, from a Seabob and jet ski to paddleboards, kayaks and towables, keep every age group busy from breakfast to dusk.
Underway she is an easy, capable cruiser, holding around 20 knots and reaching into the mid twenties when needed, with the range to string together a proper island itinerary rather than shuttling back and forth from one base. She suits the Greek islands and the wider Aegean particularly well, the kind of cruising where you drop into a different bay each day and let the crew of four, who come with excellent reviews, take care of the rest.
There is a lot to like here beyond the numbers. VYNO has been kept and refitted with care, she carries a full list of water toys, and she offers the space and the crew of a larger yacht at a charter rate that leaves room in the budget for everything else a holiday needs. For guests who want a warm, traditional yacht that simply works, she is a considered and good-value choice.
She is a reminder that a yacht does not have to be brand new to deliver a brilliant week, only well found, well run and in the right place at the right time. Book her for a week and the value speaks quietly for itself, in the extra cabin, the extra crew hand and the extra hours on the water that a newer, smaller yacht at the same rate simply cannot offer.
Available for charter in Greece and the eastern Mediterranean from 30,000 EUR per week.
