Most superyachts approaching forty metres are drawn to cruise. The ISA Viper 130 is drawn to run. Fast Naan, the first hull in the series, has been launched at ISA Yachts’ Ancona yard as a 38.72-metre planing flybridge yacht, built around triple MAN power and a three-level link to the water. She is a clear marker of where the sporting end of the 40-metre market is heading.

Built to plane, not to cruise
The headline is the hull. Where most yachts of this length settle into a 12 to 14-knot displacement cruise, the Viper 130 is a full planing design that targets around 33 knots flat out and a 26-knot cruise. Three MAN V12X engines drive twin MJP waterjets with a central booster, and a GRP hull carries a carbon-fibre-reinforced superstructure to keep weight down. At roughly 260 gross tonnes, she sits in the narrow space between a fast open yacht and a full flybridge.
Naval architecture came from ISA Yachts with Studio Ing. Arnaboldi, and the exterior was drawn by Fulvio De Simoni. The result is a low, sharp profile that reads quick at rest, a signature the yard means to carry across the wider Viper line.
A beach club across three levels
Fast Naan’s aft deck steps down to the sea over three connected levels. At water level, a transformer doubles as a bathing staircase and passerelle, opening a beach area with direct access to the water. A few steps up sits a large aft-facing sunpad and a lounge, and two fold-out side balconies widen the space when she is at anchor. A garage on the starboard side takes a five-metre tender.
A sun deck, and a private bow
Up top, a carbon-fibre hardtop shades a second helm, two sunpads, a lounge and an L-shaped bar, with an alfresco table for up to ten. The foredeck is treated as a separate retreat: a Jacuzzi ringed by sunpads and sofas, reached only along the port side so the forward space stays calm, away from the sociable stern.
A De Simoni interior in white and blue
Inside, De Simoni works a layered palette that moves from optical white through pale to deep blue. Black ash parquet meets pearl-grey lacquer, titanium-effect surfaces and chrome, with wall coverings by Rubelli and marble by Marazzi in Calacatta Extra, Sodalite Blu and Capraia. The main saloon is furnished by Minotti and split into two lounge areas, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass. An aft galley and bar open to the deck for entertaining or close behind a switchable-glass partition during service.

Accommodation runs to five staterooms for up to ten guests, with a full-beam owner’s suite amidships on the lower deck, a VIP and three further cabins. Crew quarters sleep six across three ensuite cabins alongside the galley.
Where she fits
Fast Naan was sold to an American owner in 2024 and made her public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival before heading to Monaco. For a buyer weighing a sedate 40-metre displacement cruiser against something with genuine pace, the Viper 130 is one of the few designs offering flybridge volume and planing speed in one hull. Further hulls in the series are expected to follow.
