CROSSBOW is a 31.71-metre performance cruising yacht built by Southern Wind Shipyard and delivered in 2016, with a refit in 2023. A finalist at the 2017 World Superyacht Awards, she combines the sailing performance associated with Southern Wind, one of the most respected names in blue-water cruising yachts, with a luxurious interior by Nauta Design, who also handled the exterior styling.
Her composite hull delivers full-displacement sea-keeping characteristics without sacrificing passage-making performance. Nauta’s interior is warm and sophisticated, creating an atmosphere that feels genuinely unlike most charter sailing yachts of this size. A Cummins QSB auxiliary engine provides power when needed.
Eight guests sleep across four staterooms (master, double, two twins) with a crew of five. Toys include a Fliteboard e-foil, e-foil, wakeboards, water skis, knee board, two inflatable SUPs and fishing gear. From €59,000 per week.
Crossbow delivers the experience that only a true performance sailing yacht can offer. Her deck layout, rig geometry and hull form are optimised for blue-water passage-making: going to windward in a brisk breeze, running trade winds downwind or reaching across open ocean, every aspect of sailing Crossbow rewards the engaged charterer with a connection to the sea that no motor yacht can replicate.
The main salon of Crossbow is the centrepiece of the interior experience: a generous open-plan living and dining area that uses carefully chosen materials, furniture and lighting to create a space that feels both refined and genuinely comfortable. Large windows ensure natural light throughout the day, and the flow between the salon and the aft deck makes indoor-outdoor living effortless.
The master suite of Crossbow occupies the best position on the yacht for privacy and natural light. A king-sized bed, ample storage, sitting area, his-and-hers dressing facilities and a full marble or stone-finished bathroom with both shower and bath make this a retreat comparable to the finest suite in any five-star hotel ashore.
Between passages, Crossbow’s cockpit and exterior deck areas come into their own as social spaces. A generous cockpit with integrated seating, foredeck sunbeds and a shaded helm station give guests multiple outdoor options for dining, conversation and sunbathing. The rig overhead frames every view with the geometry of a working sailing yacht.
The sky lounge of Crossbow is the social nerve-centre above the main salon: a versatile space with a plush sofa, bar, and entertainment system that transitions between relaxed daytime lounge and lively pre-dinner cocktail bar as the evening progresses. Its position and panoramic windows make it a favourite spot at any hour.
The 4 staterooms of Crossbow accommodate 8 guests overnight in surroundings that match the quality of the master suite in materials and attention to detail. Several cabins convert flexibly between double and twin configuration, and all are equipped with en-suite bathroom, ample storage, individual climate control and entertainment systems.
At anchor, Crossbow deploys a comprehensive water sports programme. A rigid tender, water skis, wakeboards, kayaks, snorkelling gear and inflatable toys are all available. The swim platform at the stern offers safe, direct sea access, and the yacht’s ability to reach sheltered anchorages off the usual charter routes adds an adventurous dimension to every itinerary.
