LEXSEA belongs to a small, deliberate category of yacht: the Benetti Oasis 40M, a hull built around a genuine displacement range rather than headline speed. At 13 knots cruise and a 4,000-nautical-mile range, she is drawn for distance, the kind of yacht that can cross to a far cruising ground rather than shuttle between two anchorages a few miles apart. Delivered in 2022 to exterior lines by RDW and an interior by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture, she reads as considered rather than showy: pale timber, soft greys, glass that opens the main deck out to the water on both sides.
The defining space is the beach club aft, where fold-down terraces extend the swim platform out over the water and a jacuzzi, her name spelled out across its transom in inlaid teak, sits at the centre of it. It is the kind of amenity that turns a mid-afternoon stop into the best part of the day rather than an interlude between destinations, and it anchors a deck plan built for being outside as much as possible: a shaded aft lounge, a dining table set beneath the overhang of the deck above, and a sundeck bar further forward with its own run of stools and a wraparound counter.
Inside, the main saloon curves around two facing sofas rather than lining furniture against the walls, a layout that keeps conversation central regardless of how many guests are aboard. A separate dining room seats the full party at a dark wood table with sea views on both sides, formal enough for a proper dinner, close enough to the saloon that the evening doesn’t feel divided into rooms. LEXSEA charters the Mediterranean through the summer season, April to September, from a base in Greek waters, her own photography places her repeatedly among the islands and headlands of the Aegean, coves quiet enough that the beach club and its fold-down terraces make sense as a daily ritual rather than an occasional indulgence.
