About Vision

Speed is the thing to notice first about Vision, because it changes what a Caribbean charter week can contain.

She cruises at 15 knots and runs to 16 — figures that belong to a semi-displacement yacht rather than a 1,008-tonne Benetti. Most 60-metre displacement yachts cruise at eleven or twelve, which is fine for the Mediterranean, where the next anchorage is a couple of hours away. In the Leewards and the Bahamas it is the difference between an itinerary and a compromise. Vision can leave St Barths after breakfast and be swimming off Anguilla before lunch, or make a hop between island groups overnight without anyone noticing she moved. Over seven days that returns most of a day to the guests.

Benetti delivered her in 2011 and she has carried two names since — Osho first, then Lyana, now Vision — with a refit in 2023 bringing her finishes current. Her exterior has aged unusually well. A dark navy hull sits under a white superstructure with a long, low sheer and a stepped stern that lands the beach club almost at the waterline. Nothing about the styling is of a particular moment, which is why it still reads as contemporary fifteen years on.

The interior is where the 2023 work shows. Dark macassar and wenge joinery run through the main deck against pale upholstery and marble, a combination that could easily be heavy and is kept from it by the window line — glass runs almost unbroken down both sides of the saloon and the dining room. The main saloon carries two seating groups and a bar; forward of it, a separate dining room seats twelve against a marble feature wall. There is a further bar on the upper deck in a darker, closer room that works well after dinner.

Wellness is handled with more care than the size class usually manages. There is a dedicated treatment room — a massage table on a rug, under a full window line, with its own storage rather than a table wheeled into a cabin. The master bathroom carries a freestanding tub set between hull windows at sea level, so the view from it is the water rather than a mirror. On a Caribbean charter, where the day ends salt-covered, both earn their footprint.

On deck she is properly laid out for the tropics. A jacuzzi sits forward on the sundeck with the horizon on three sides and shade over the seating behind it. The upper aft deck carries dining under a hard top. The main aft deck opens to a swim platform fitted with a dive centre and compressor — Vision is set up for certified diving rather than just snorkelling, which is a real distinction in the Virgin Islands and the Exumas.

Twelve guests are carried in six cabins: a main-deck master with its own study, a VIP below, and four further doubles and twins. Fifteen crew run the yacht, and the service routing keeps them clear of the guest areas.

Vision charters the Caribbean and the Bahamas, from Antigua and St Barths down through the Windwards and up into the Exumas.
