About AGAPE ROSE

AGAPE ROSE answers a question most large charter yachts cannot: how do you take twenty-two people to sea without anyone feeling like an afterthought? Built in Croatia in 2017 and refitted in 2025, she carries eleven cabins across three decks, and the arithmetic works because the volume is real. At 48.3 metres with an 8.6-metre beam and a shallow 2.5-metre draft, she is built wide and low for the Adriatic, able to lie close in to the Dalmatian islands where deeper hulls stay outside.

The accommodation is the point of difference. Two master suites, not one, sit at the top of the layout, each with wide sea windows, a freestanding copper tub and its own seating area. Below them the guest cabins run in a straightforward, generous grid: doubles that convert to twins, marble bathrooms with walk-in showers, portholes at eye level from the bed. Nobody is billeted in a compromise. For a multi-generational family or two or three travelling together, that flat hierarchy is worth more than any single grand stateroom.

Her wellness suite is unusually complete for a yacht of this type. A cedar-lined sauna, a dedicated massage room with a therapist aboard, and a gym fitted out with NOHRD’s wood-framed rowers and climbing equipment occupy a full section of the lower deck. Next to them, a media room runs the width of the hull: a deep sectional under a projection wall, floor cushions, a games console, and enough space that the children can disappear into it for an afternoon while the adults do not have to.

The main deck reads as one long, light room. Cream sofas face outward through continuous glazing; round dining tables seat everyone at once; a bar in ribbed dark timber and back-lit onyx anchors the aft end. Above, the upper deck carries a shaded table for the full complement, and the sun deck opens out forward with loungers and an outdoor kitchen.

What guests remember, though, is the water. AGAPE ROSE deploys a large floating sea platform astern, a rectangular pool of open sea framed by teak-topped pontoons, with jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards and inflatables tied off around it. The hydraulic swim platform drops to meet it, so getting in and out of the sea takes no effort at all. In the evening the same platform becomes a dining terrace inches above the water, lit from below.

Thirteen crew run her, which is a high ratio even at this guest count, and it shows in the pace of the day: breakfast laid on the upper deck while the tender is already running, a masseuse free at four, dinner ashore in Hvar or aboard at anchor. She cruises at ten knots and moves between the islands in short, unhurried hops, and with a 2.5-metre draft the skipper has a longer list of anchorages to choose from than most captains of her length.

Croatia is her season, from Split and Krilo, and she stays there year-round, so the crew know the coast as residents rather than visitors. That local knowledge is worth having on a route where the difference between a good day and a crowded one is often a single headland. For groups that want the whole island chain without splitting across two boats, she is one of the few honest answers on the market.
